1. Platform Overview

CongreGreat ("we", "our", or "us") provides a software platform that enables congregations and their administrators to manage duty assignments and send informational notifications to congregation members.

CongreGreat acts solely as a technology provider. Congregations are responsible for how they use the platform, including the content of messages and ensuring appropriate consent from recipients.

2. SMS Messaging and Consent

If your congregation uses SMS features, you represent and warrant that:

You have obtained proper consent from all recipients to receive text messages
Your use of SMS complies with applicable laws and carrier requirements, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA guidelines
Messages sent are informational and transactional in nature, unless otherwise expressly approved by CongreGreat

CongreGreat is not responsible for message delivery failures, carrier delays, or issues related to recipient devices or mobile carriers.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the platform for:

Marketing, advertising, or promotional messaging
Fundraising, donation requests, or solicitation
Political messaging or advocacy
Harassment, abusive, or unlawful communications
Any use that violates applicable laws or messaging carrier policies

CongreGreat reserves the right to monitor usage and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or risk platform compliance.

4. Platform Availability and Reliability

While we strive to provide reliable service, CongreGreat does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the platform.

You acknowledge that communication systems, including SMS, may experience delays, failures, or interruptions outside of our control.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CongreGreat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to missed duty assignments, scheduling errors, or communication failures.

CongreGreat's total liability for any claims arising out of or related to use of the platform shall not exceed the amount paid by your congregation to CongreGreat in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

6. Account Responsibility

Administrators are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials
Ensuring the accuracy of member contact information
Managing access to the platform within their congregation

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

7. Billing and Cancellation

CongreGreat is billed month to month at a single flat rate covering the whole congregation. There is no annual commitment, no minimum term, and no per-member charge.

New congregations begin with a free 60-day trial of the full platform. No payment method is collected to start the trial, so nothing is charged when it ends — billing begins only if your congregation chooses to continue and enters payment details.

You may cancel at any time from your congregation's billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for, and you keep access until then. We do not prorate or refund partial months.

Prices may change with notice; any change applies from your next billing month, never retroactively.

8. Termination and Suspension

CongreGreat reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the platform at any time if:

These Terms are violated
Use of the platform risks carrier compliance, legal exposure, or platform integrity
Required by law or third-party service providers

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which CongreGreat is organized, without regard to conflict of law principles.
